Regarding 4th grade homework, does anyone have a good website or other resource for practicing the next set of states and capitals? Last week was a huge challenge for us. I’m curious to see how the kids did.

Week of September 29th

We are now in Fall break count down mode.  The most important thing for the sixth graders is to get progress on the Memior Treasure Chest project (October 15th) and Literature “calendar” project (October 16th).  Both of these are due after Fall Break. 

This week we have a quizes in:

  • Social Studies – Wednesday

Remember to bring in a package of new socks… this is for the sock drive the kids are doing.

Fourth Grade: State Quiz #1

The first state quiz was NE states.  The states and capitals are:

Connecticut (CT) – Hartford

Delaware (DE) – Dover

Vermont (VT) – Montpelier

Rhode Island (RI) – Providence

New Hampshire (NH) – Concord

Massachusetts (MA) – Boston

Maine (ME) – Augusta

Pennsylvania (PA) – Harrisburg

New York (NY) – Albany

New Jersey (NJ) – Trenton

    USB Drive Failures

    Last night Anthony’s USB portable drive died.  We had two projects on it half way done that were not printed or saved some where else.  This is just a friendly suggestion to make sure to have a back up on your computer too.  Such a bummer for him!

    Memiors Project

    I have been in Oregon for the last day and half.  On the phone last night Anthony shared that the memior project was three new topics and three people have to be interviewed.  He also shared that the first one in draft form was due today.  Did anyone else know about this before yesteday?

    Need your help: tests/quizes this week

    Sixth grade mom’s – I need your help.  Anthony last night said he has the dates and subjects for tomorrow’s quizes wrong.  Please help confirm.  If all the information posted is from me, there is a 25% chance I am wrong since there are four of us from sixth grade.

    • Friday – Math – NOT SURE ON THIS ONE… I think this is next Tuesday
